Live with purpose and walk in the light, allowing Christ to direct your steps.

We have discussed walking circumspectly, now let's look at how to walk in the light. I John 1:7 tells us that if we walk in the light as He is in the light, then we will have fellowship one with another. Friendship with Christ! He also tells us that He is the light of the world (John 8:12) and that if we walk with Him, there won't be any obscurity or darkness. So, how do we do that? To begin with, you need to come to the point of your life that you are ready to completely surrender all of you to Christ and live according to the instructions and laws He has given us to live by, which are in His Word. These will guide you in your very careful consideration of where and and how you want to step, walking with purpose and precision. Our reasoning, logic, thinking will not get us there, He has to be central. Your relationship with Christ must be the most important thing relationship in your life.

Proverbs 3: 6-8

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Yes, this says in all your ways. This takes purpose, action. It doesn't happen instantly, or automatically, but Christ is with you to help you make even this happen. We are nothing of ourselves, He is our strength and gives us wisdom as we determine to follow Him. This is talking about how you live your life: how your drive, parent, treat others, do your job, as well as how you honor Christ. When you start to believe Him and do what He says, you will be able to see more clearly just where it is you want to walk, and He will guide you there.
